His response a resounding..."No, hell no. I believe you'd get your ass kicked for saying somethin' like that..." Local Joe is skateboarding equivalent of asking if someone has a case of "the mondays".

2022-09-20 09:00:05 +0000 UTCI’m a good buddy of local joe. I think he conforms to the YouTube algorithm since it’s a more defined way of growth. I personally don’t think it’s sustainable and at some point you have to check in with yourself and make sure you’re being real and honest with yourself and community. The main thing is it’s a bummer YouTube and other social media platforms force creators into having to (or feeling like they have to) pidgeon hole their content into certain standards.

His vibe kind of weirded me out back then - it felt like he was getting into skateboarding for the primary purpose of becoming a skateboarding YouTuber. It’s cool seeing his skill level progress (it was at a pretty low level when I saw his older video back then) but overall it still has the same YouTube heavy motives vibe, almost like skating for the wrong reasons…
