I think for each Beatrice, Skate Mama, etc you expose, you could also do reviews of how insanely good Marisa Dal Santo and Elissa Steamer were. Since you are a female skating fan, you could also talk about it as a normal thing, and not only focus on the controversy. And as mentioned before, it would be cool to have a woman speaking as well :)

You've kicked the can down the street multiple times saying "there's not much going on in the skate industry". Thats a cop out. I think you talking about women and or trans skateboarding publicly could be very good. Although you are a cynnical asshole sometimes, with more sensitive topics I feel like you have very thoughtfull, rational ideas, and I think in womens/lgtbq skateboarding, but in pretty much in anything where activism plays a role, a lot is driven by emotions, which in my opinion is to the detriment of what the people are fighting for. But I do agree with another comment here that it might be better if you were to do it in a format where you bounce your ideas to a women or trans person and have an honest thoughtful conversation with them. It will make you look better, and it's interesting/important to see the perspective of the people who live through it and feel strongly about it.

Even though it’s a good video with well made points, if you post the women’s skateboarding video as is without having any women featured you are gonna come across to many as “mansplaining” (as stupid as that term is) and are potentially going to really pigeon hole yourself to an all dude all the time audience moving forward. But definitely feature some gal pals and post a version of it for sure. Tyshawn table vid should be posted, spike that hornets nest into the YouTube comments and see what happens

Upload the first part and get Ted all caught up in the controversy. TJ definitely cleared the start of the table and the end of the low bench. It looks so crazy in the Thrasher cover pic too, he’s staring down at the side bench and the ground to the side of the obstacle when he should otherwise be looking at his landing dead center and well past the end of the table if he were actually going straight over it.

Probably best not to do the women in skateboarding video. I really appreciate the way you thought it through intelligently, and give a nuanced perspective, most don’t bother. But I am also a woman, and I do think you maybe missed the point on some bits, or could develop that understanding further. If you’re going to be the voice for a lot of peoples opinions on such an important issue, might be best to approach it again later with actual women in the video, or at least having spoke to some.

I reckon putting some more edge into YT is a good move, but I think sometimes you have too much faith in the masses. While the Women in Skateboarding video was well put together and valuable, I think some of the salient arguments will go over the heads of the average skate YT consoomer - potentially leading to a mutation of your message in the wrong direction

No I share that concern because your video leans into the biologist and market-logic argument way too hard at the cost of the "aesthetic/inspirational" reasons for women to be pro. On here people can abstract between your actual opinions and an argument tailored to a certain crowd of incel youtube haters. Out in the wild you may upset mostly the people you're trying to defend. Keep in mind it is an absolute sausage party on here as well. Have you shown this to some women/queer people? I'm a bit upset at how little the point is being made on here that a woman or trans skater watching that video might easily take away from it only this: women deserve to be pro because they're not as strong as men and because they benefit the industry by opening up a new growth sector. I know your own reasons are also that you find women/queer skaters inspiring to watch, that you like their style and that there are things like creativity and character that are more important than just technical skill. But I'm very doubtful the broader public will get that from this video and I think that's bad. Maybe add a chapter to it?
