about the love people have for Luan is kind of what happens when you see "youtuber react to *insert a brazilian media here*", so it gets flooded with comments and stuff, as any latino person in a very american industry such as skateboarding, the fact that he was the only relevant brazilian skater in the main contests for a while(sls 2014-2016) and he really had a successful career at that time and with all that he still kept living in Brasil, his skateshop promotes and used to make some of the main contests and events in Brasil, etc. he really did a lot for the scene here and people look at that almost more than they look at the skating aspect of him as a pro. another thing about his skating being outdated, Brasil is a very poor country with not a lot of internet access(till recent years) and very few people speak english so trends take a while to arrive, I think for a lot of people his type of skating is cool as fuck as it was when compared to other contest skaters 10 years ago. Most of the brazilians who are still on par with modern skating are either privileged for our standards or live outside Brasil, such as Tiago, Fortunato, Carlos, etc

I just have to find a skateshop that has Last Resort VM003s in stock in size 11.5 since the 12 i bought was way too big for me. The shoe is basically the same as the Catiba but without the huge logo which i'm still not a big fan of. I just need to try them on locally to make sure they fit though since i'm picky with fit but there's none in my area unfortunately.

The pro model/ADV versions of the superstars and forums look really cool. Even though they still have the 3 stripe I think they work the design of it into the overall shoe really well. Kaders purple superstar is definitely something unique and interesting even if it is something most people aren’t able to pull off; it’s cool to see them take a risk by trusting kader. The Stan smith also looks and feels good to skate in even though it’s not a skate shoe and Vincent makes it look good imo. Nora also had a nice slip on colorway a few years ago where they incorporated some of her art into the inside of the shoe. They definitely should’ve gone more of that route with her pro model.
