It all happened in a flash
My sight went from a blinding white to an overwhelming red.
Before I could even process what happened, my entire torso got shredded in one fell swoop-
It almost felt like time stopped before my back unceremoniously hit the wet hard pavement; there was nothing but silence after that spine reverberating thud.
I couldn’t move. Surely felt like I couldn’t breathe either.
I… didn’t even have enough strength to move my eyes and look at how utterly destroyed I got. Even rain drops didn’t seem to register on my skin anymore. Considering that those might’ve been parts of my rib cage and muscle fibers flying out of my chest just a few moments earlier, it was probably for the best that I didn’t feel anything anymore. My vision was getting blurrier by the second; I could hear the beating of my heart slowing down by the second.
As my consciousness faded…
As those two behemoths were closing in…

I could’ve sworn…that I caught glimpses…
That these dogs…
