“OH! I’m not going to turn, am I?!”
“I don’t know! Maybe?! You’re my first time so da heck would I know?!” the werewolf lass shouted.
“Ugh. That’s not it- This is already hard enough so just… listen. Please?”
The young man nodded with a smile and quiet.
Louvy took in a deep breath before sheepishly mumbling:
“It was my Popa,”
Her dad?
Drysh has only seen glimpses of the man a couple of times, mainly through pictures that Louvine would show him. He never met the man in person due to how deep in the woods their residence is but he’s heard great things. Like how he’s a bit overprotective of his baby girl yet he’s the one that thought Louvy how to hunt. Although with this whole werewolf thing, he doubted it was with traditional hunting rifles now.
“Uhm? What about your pops?”, the still smiling boyfriend asked. “Other than the fact that you don’t want him to know that we’re dating yet, I mean.”
The young lady’s eyes were darting downwards as she pointed to his boyfriend’s chest:
“The…other werewolf…” she started.
The one I was hunting with- and that attacked you…”
A lot clicked in Drystan’s mind on that very moment, so much so that time felt like it came to a halt. Despite Louvine’s lips still moving, there was nothing but radio silence going through stunned lad’s ears.
Werewolves.
A family that’s so redneck that his date’s cellphone battery was literally held by duct tape.
His friends noticing repeated stalking, especially at crowded parties.
Conveniently getting hounded down in a random alleyway on a full moon.
His girlfriend begging to move in with him merely weeks after confessing to him and them dating…
And to top it all off, the culprit this scar being said girlfriend’s father.
The color was slowly draining from his face as his jaw just couldn’t keep it straight anymore.
“DID YOUR DAD TRY TO KILL ME BECAUSE YOU HAD A CRUSH ON ME?!!” Drystan exclaimed as his smile cracked in an absolutely jumbled mess of a reaction.
