Friday Music and Check-In!

March is flying by for me, although that may be because I'm living in between "snow storm", "good weather", "snow storm".

Anyway, today's song is...74 minutes long.  I have no idea how I found this back in 2000, but it's one of those things where I would lose it, and then find it again years later.  It's super obscure but someone finally posted it on youtube.  If you like Madonna, and dance remixes, I think this is pretty dang cool since it covers her entire career up until the Ray of Light album.  it has some cheese moments for sure (I'm Duke Nukum) but give it a spin.

Let me know what you're all up to/listening to and don't forget on Monday to come back here.  The file will be an easy one to digest.  You may say it'll be....a snap.

I’ll have to play this while I attempt to make myself make art on my Saturday off. Good for getting the body moving to hopefully kickstart the creative juices. I just celebrated my 33rd birthday on 3/3, and since then I’ve been listening to a lot of Gojira (a French progressive death metal band with a lot of songs about environmental awareness), and just a little bit of Linkin Park for the first time in many years (I forgot how solid their first album was). I also just watched Barbie for the second time and enjoyed it as much as I did the first time, and I wish I had watched it much sooner.

Madonna isn't my cup of tea personally. As a '01 kid I grew up more in the britney/gaga era. I love most 80s but her stuff never clicked for me totally get why she's an icon though. I've been listening to tame impala and sleep token mostly this week. Ascensionism and bold arrow of time would be my picks songwise I reckon. We're down 3 folks at my work so it's been an exhausting week. Did some errands earlier, but I made some mac and cheese when I got home to go with the beef ribs I already had. Homemade mac and cheese heals the soul. Spent the rest of my evening curled up on my porch with my pup reading. Just started the myth of normal by Gabor Mate and it's been really good so far. No suprise there I loved the other stuff I've read from him this book has been on my tbr for ages so I'm glad to finally get to it.
