Bright Blaze

The male's voice grew from a spiteful hiss into a roar powerful enough to match the firestorm he had at his beck and call.

"Do you think us too weak to fight? Too meek to defend our own? You thought you made us fangless? We chose to play nice. We bowed for your sakes. But as long as one ember burns, you will never break us! Flame take you!"

The fire seemed to have a soul of its own – one tempered by fury, determination and righteous anger – that gave the otherwise wild and unfettered elements a singular purpose.

Even from a distance, the heat felt like an impenetrable wall keeping foes at bay. Where Flame raged, naught but blood, ashes and discarded iron remained.

Hello again. I am pleased to report I am back to work after my two-month hiatus (during which, Patreon was on pause, so please, let me know if you got wrongfully charged somewhere and I will see to rectify it).

I swear I had an entire cutesy thing ready for End of Dragons, stuff like my catalyst chasing after her kirin sprite and whatnot, but shortly before the launch, well... * vague eastward gestures *

Especially those few initial days were quite a bit of shock and quite a lot of crisis prep around these parts. It also felt plain wrong to just draw frolicking cubs and call it a day. But it did make me dust off this old thing instead.

When it comes to Brightblaze's appearance (and by extension Efram's), I take their particular armor skins as a temporary effect of their magic, since... well, walking around with your various bits being literally on fire would be incredibly impractical. So this is actually the first time I portrayed Nero (mostly) the way he's shown in the game.

Even though it's quite a long time since the living story episode launched, my mind's still kind of processing the fact that I shamelessly stole an NPC from a public event and am now running around with him. But if you ever find yourselves in Drizzlewood Coast or Grothmar Valley, you may run into him supporting various events out there if you're lucky.

Thank you for your patience. I hope to have a comic to throw your way very soon. Until then, please, stay safe.

Bright Blaze
