When she was around 15 - 16 years old, she had to take the full role of main priestess because her mentor (after kikyo died) was no longer able to continue with her duties. This poor girl was so scared but she would push through her struggles by remembering Kikyo’s example. So, in my head, she was a nervous but courageous kid. She did not shy from a smile, but she was always working very hard to become a strong priestess that her older sister could be proud of.
I liked drawing soft Kaede ☺️
