This show did so much in so little time, i grew so attached to these characters. At least David managed to reach the only possible silver lining that awaits those who embark on this path in Night City, where the only thing you can try to take control of is how you die, not if. He did become a Night City Legend. There is a drink in the game named after him in the Afterlife club. Those are named only after the cyberpunks that went out of the life in the most glorious and fitting fashion and left their mark. And as Johnny Silverhand said "A happier ending? For people like us?
