Agreed Clarus. I was just begging for the showrunners to do better. It hurts that I can't completely just enjoy the show. Trying to include the lore while also deviating from it just does not work. I'm going to give season 2 a chance just as I'll give WoT season 2 a chance, but my enthusiasm for both is kind of shattered. A couple of minor issues I have are that they keep including lines from the movies in every episode. That feels like lazy writing. One or two over the course of the season would have been cute easter eggs. Also, am I the only one who thought the rings looked like cheap costume jewelry? Enjoyed watching y'all's reactions this season. In the end, I agree with a lot of your issues and your positives. Just hoping next season will be tighter and better.
