while i do agree the Manga is amazing but as a stand alone movie, NausicaA is create from start to finish.

2023-06-01 03:04:37 +0000 UTCI agree that Nausicaa would be a great one to react to. In my opinion, the manga is Miyazaki's true masterpiece. The movie is a wonderful early look at his talent and a wonderful realization in film of the first part of that story. But the movie always seems to disappoint when I watch it, because I know how much more story there ought to be. It's not really the fault of the movie, the story would take another 10 years to finish, but the movie's ending is a shadow of the masterwork that would follow.
