Yes I know that,they were supposed to upload episode 14 with 13, but due to recent developments (disturbing comments they received) they didn't, so I was wondering if they're going to upload it at all or even proceed to react to AOT. Question for Nerdy Now that your are almost done with this season Have your views on “the basement reveal “ changed anyhow ? Do you see/understand now how the basement ties into this new season ? The Basement . Is know as a gateway cuz it is literally the end of an old story and the beginning of a new story . It almost feels like an entirely different series .

Also Erwin dealt with a vastly harder situation than any of the previous commanders. Erwin had to contend with titan shifters Annie, Reiner, Zeke, and Bertholdt. Not to mention Erin. And all while being completely in the dark and lacking any information about who and what exactly the enemy was.

Something that should also be mentioned about Erwin is that he DID build upon the generals of the past. In the Shadis flashback episode it’s stated that the scouts would get completely decimated under Shadis’ command when they went outside the walls. Erwin invented the flair gun and formation system that helped keep the scouts more protected than any of the previous generals.

I do think his gripe with Erwin also became somewhat justified by Erwin himself. At his core he only wanted answers for his own satisfaction and routinely sent people to their deaths to meet his ends. His redemption was his suicide charge where he told the truth for once and gave up on his dream

They're all military characters. And not only that but all of their fights have been against an Impossible enemy that they basically always lose against and are constantly forced to make brutal snap decisions that sacrifice alot of lives while also not having necessary information. Perspective isn't just what the viewer needs, it's what every major character in the show needs.

Erwin’s unconventional plans were more of a reaction to years of failure. Also a lack of intel on the enemy. You have to do with what you got and try something new to gain ground… sucks for his troops lol

I like that you are starting to grasp why Erwins plans were how they were. Its interesting to hear Nerdys thoughts on it because it does make sense. Before Nerdy was seeing Erwins plans through his lenses with an already abundant amount of info on war and strategie (either through history or movies, entertainment etc.) Something Erwin and the scouts were just figuring out for the first time at that point. The eldians in Paradis have no recollection past 100 years meaning the concepts of war and leadership strategie are foreign concepts to them. Im glad Nerdy brought this up. It gives me a lot more respect for his view points in previous seasons. This was great!
