I mean they have the right to not like the show, even if it's high rated and won many awards, but the frustration is from the unvalidated criticism they are giving, lack of attention, poor argument and annoying attitude towards the show. I sensed that Nerdy has changed his perspective in s04 and started to appreciate the story more, but no,apparently still "magic stuff" are happening, which after 4 seasons I mean if you don't expect some fantasy stuff to happen in a fantasy story then I don't know what to expect... Most things are explained and the stuff that aren't explained will be explained later, the problem is they'll probably miss the explanation like they did with previous stuff then complain how things are not explained and how there are many plot holes and plot conveniences. I agree there are some plot armor scenarios (which exist in most anime tbh) but other than that all makes sense.

Most ppl problem is Not the narrative of the show or the character developments or it’s storytelling which is impeccable btw Or thr how’s did the horses catch up to Annie or how did the cart titan get over that wall . AOT became the first and only animated series to do so . I feel like they should Google their thoughts n opinions about aot. Like “Why is attack on Titan so popular” Is attack on Titan a good show ? This 100 percent. I’m positive a rewatch would give them a vastly different view of the show. Whether that view is good or bad, they would at least see that a lot of the stuff they think is cheap and comes out of nowhere literally does not, they’re just missing or forgetting important details. Aot is subtle in the way it does things. Just look at Reiner revealing himself and Bertholdt, it’s so casual that you can almost miss it. They’ll never rewatch it though. They made up their minds a while ago that there’s no way they could ever really enjoy this show. Side note, have you watched autosaves Aot reactions? They’re another reactor couple who write down notes while watching to have hour long discussions at the end. Might be a nice palate cleanser lol

So many times a lot of the “problems” they have are just stuff they missed. In this video alone they missed Galliard, so to them it was unbelievable when he shows up as a Titan. They thought it was Armin who trapped the titans in a well not Yelena. So to them it’s absurd how Armin somehow found that well. They missed that Eren told Gabi to radio for help, they forget that Yelena radios on the ship, so they go on a diatribe about radio as if it hasn’t already been established in this world. They forgot that it was established that Zeke was lying about the spinal fluid “freezing” thing. So it’s a problem for them that somebody didn’t freeze after ingesting it. That’s just this latest video off the top of my head. I wouldn’t doubt that there’s more in here either. This happens ALL THE TIME in all their videos. It’s wild because I consider them very intelligent, especially compared to some other reactors. But how are they still able to miss this many things with such regularity while other reactors don’t get anywhere near this many things incorrect? Like incorrect on a factual, explicitly stated by the show level? It’s no wonder they are having such trouble with the show when their knowledge has sooo many gaping holes in it.

A lot of reactors think Yelena is Armin at first but obviously realize she isn’t when Armin blows up the port on the other side of the city and Yelena’s character is properly introduced. Hell, even Pieck talks about how she recognized the woman who led them into the trap for being a follower of Zeke. How in the world are these two so lost all the damn time?

@Bird 100% word by word, there are reactors that rewatch episodes just so that they can present a decent discussion and analysis for the audience. I understand if they don't have time to rewatch or even don't want to, but to keep speculating wrong things and not acknowledge the fans explanations, and keep saying "how did this happen?" just after the show actually explained it a few episodes ago...I mean yea what's the point? It’s more civilized in here, but if they post it out there for the whole internet to see… They’re gonna get absolutely destroyed for comparing this to the sequels. None of what they’ve said has ever really bothered me, and even that pissed me off beyond belief. As much as they want to say all they’re doing is sharing their opinion, the fact is that opinion is just a constant scrutinization of the show. Everyone here likes Attack on Titan. We wouldn’t be watching reaction videos to it if we didn’t. So they are essentially coming up to the fans of this show, calling the writing lazy and cringe, comparing the level of the writing to “somehow palpatine returned,” and then, surprised pikachu face, the people who like this are upset with us? People watch reaction videos to enjoy a show they like with other people. That’s it. That’s the point of them. You do not enjoy it, Clarus’ words not mine. That’s why everything about this experience has been negative, because none of us are getting enjoyment from this. Not you from watching, or us from watching you. I have genuinely never seen reactors so disconnected and aggressive towards a show. It’s wild. I do want to make it clear that you didn’t deserve the death threats or nasty comments. @Minerva Ravenclaw Yea I canceled my subscription renewal too now. For me it’s not that they didn’t like it. It’s purely the hard headed attitude and smugness they have for being corrected about ANYTHING. They consistently misunderstand, miss and forget things. But instead of correcting it next reaction with right information they now say they “don’t care about the comments” and double down on being wrong. Talking about how they didn’t miss anything, they watch multiple times, and how “they just disagree” yet they still are repeating wrong things people have tried to explain to them seasons ago. At this point they don’t care about being right or wrong. And they have no interest in correcting things they don’t understand… so what’s the point? I was ready to finish out the series even if they didn’t like it to hear their takes(assuming they had all the correct information and were genuine). But This is probably the only thing a reactor can do which completely and irredeemably sours the whole experience. If they don’t care, why should we?

Why are you still assuming that this show is so simple. I think it was pretty clear that Pieck would actually never betray Marley, she is one of the smartest people out there. Marley and everyone had a plan. Not to mention that infiltrating Paradise isn't that hard. You are keep being tricked, you need to question things more, just like you are questioning armin. Yea I personally liked the soft approach as it was more omnious and slightly wonderous , but I do think the show has been fairly consistent in terms of triggers it mostly happens with founders,royals touch, or remembering etc all are fairly tieable. And memories come and go in spectrums. It also makes sense once we reach ep 21 Titans are moreso still a mysterious pseudo natural phenomena.

Things do function properly it's just you don't really pay attention to some details, you missed how the titan serum works in previous reactions, you missed how the Ackermans function,although it's been mentioned before in s03 (yet you keep calling them magical creatures), you still don't know how Zeke can turn people into titans by screaming and that the radius is important,and yes there are things not explained because we don't have time to watch Annie run all the way from the wall to the forest... It's up for us the audience to understand how trivial things function. If you consider this show mid then Star Wars prequels, originals and sequels should be mid as well because I can't even finish criticizing (by your logic) if I want to ...

The Jaw titan appeared as galliard before ... .How about rewatching before making bold derogatory statements, Some nerdy's commentary was more tolerable vs clarus. While others have explained things ,I say one thing to understand is it's more difficult for a author to take into consideration 3d aspects in a 2d plane that intuitively has less focus on detail due to NOT being live action,2D drawings character faces have less detail than 3d humans for example , the audience doesn't to attribute the same kind of attention span, where 80% of his audience prob doesn't care or actually want to hear even the details he did put in secondly , I'll say again Aot is already extremely technical for a shonen it's not a 60 min per ep live action where you have actors to retake cuts you can't redraw ..and you can't fit every little detail in an anime episode anime eps are supposed to be brazen fast and packed. Edit :t now I see you commented on 18 and 19 it's funny how you think logistics is the main point on a medium which originally took off partially because it defies logic,physics ,logistics etc shonen anime are originally about not thinking about background details because they are boring and the larger than life elements are supposed disproportionately grab the attention of the audience ,that is why other anime have them to much less detail yet still attain high ratings, (Hunter x hunter who has two eps rated higher than red wedding ) , critiques on these areas rather than the narrative are irrelevant overall even if it's interesting to acknowledge your misses many times 🤷, the only things you can critique are rules the show sets for itself that it cares about , it's like me watching a live drama screaming "omg where are the larger than life battles , powers etc why is all they doing is taking for 40 min ",also funny how clarus tries to berate this show on that but not fmab I think the problem is you not having the proper precedent degree of suspension of belief of having watched enough anime to understand how anime sets it's expectations to the audience.

I honestly think once they started getting berated by the fandom they became very defensive and at this point are just watching to pick it apart and point out it’s flaws, intentionally or not. I hope Nerdy doesn’t get too checked out now after 19 and all the titan stuff coming up in the next few episodes. He really does seem invested sometimes. Clarus… I dunno. Yea the whole government and army are in disarray. But even if it wasn’t… how could they conceivably monitor miles and miles of walls with perfection? Over a span of miles only 2 people had to sneak in: Pieck and Galliard. And they have exceptionally mobile titans that would make scaling the wall very easy.

I don’t consider it a masterpiece and I don’t need them to feel that way or even like the show tbh. It’s just the most frustrated I get with these reactions is the super random stuff like the radio thing here. Or stuff like wondering how Galliard “magically” got underneath them when it’s shown he’s in the building and they are walking upstairs above him. It’s just because that then turns into the whole discussion instead of talking about more interesting things. I think the problem with security Is that they're having problems inside Paradis itself, the Yeagerists taking control, the military is broken, Higher ups are held hostages ..m so yea total chaos, which makes it a perfect time to infiltrate or attack. Although Eren has mentioned that they spotted Pieck's titan tracks that's why he wanted Gabi's help

Exactly they are a technologically advanced military running a covert operation… radio seems like it would be a given. While Paradise is lacking in technology you have to remember the rest of the world is relatively modern. I truly do not understand getting hung up on this point or feeling like you have to invent stuff for the show. Is assuming that a relatively modern military has radio capabilities considered “inventing” things for the show?

I think it’s MUCH stronger storytelling to reveal to the audience the airship attack as a surprise than have a scene before that where you see Pieck or Galliard radio them to come in. I don’t need to see that scene and it would completely undercut the moment. As Pieck is walking up the stairs you see Galliard in the middle of the crowd. It’s not something you have to watch several times to notice either, he’s pretty much right there in the middle of the frame. So it’s not a stretch to assume Galliard probably would radio after seeing Pieck with Erin going to the roof. My point is that explicitly having to explain stuff that you can reasonably assume would just bog down the episode. Also about the security point, the island has miles and miles of walls. There’s no reasonable way they could monitor every inch of that for intruders. Not only that but they are in the middle of an extremist takeover. The building thing is a fair point but also not everyone knows what the Cart and Jaw titans look like as humans. In fact only a handful of people would recognize them.

It’s painful listening to their discussions. Its really funny. I’ve learned how stubborn I can be through these reactions. I keep hoping they will get better so I keep watching but they never do. I don’t mind if they don’t like the show or have problems here and there, we’re all human. No one is going to like everything everyone else does. What annoys me is the arrogance and complete lack of paying attention and thought. I’ve seen other reactors give great insight as to why they don’t like aspects of this show. These guys just laugh and say everything is magic and don’t try to put any effort into understanding or communicating with the audience so people could explain to them. And I do realize the audience turned on them and started saying mean things so that’s why they don’t read comments but it just sucks to watch such lackluster reacting and uninformed commentary.

From what I can see, even in the past correcting these guys doesn’t matter. Once they’ve made up their minds that’s it.

Btw, Annie new where Eren was in S1 because Reiner told her. They literally revealed that in season 2 episode 6–the BIG PLOT TWIST. Y’all need to rewatch the show later once you’re done with it. Pieck and Galliard both sneaked into Paradis along with the rest of Marley crew. It was all part of the plan to flesh out the Founding Titan. Also, them using radios is heavily implied. The show doesn’t need to directly tell the audience every-single-aspect of the story, especially if it’s not the main point of what’s happening. I think it’s kinda nitpicky to be hung up on the radio thing.

He gets their latent powers but doesn't take new shapes. It would be interesting to see how the other titans worked like if he ate the Jaw. I think they'd rather still be 15 metres instead of tiny and fast. I'd imagine taking on the warhammers titan form would leave him with the extension cord weakness. He still gets the abilities just not the draw back of the immobile location. Also don't worry, there are no civillians in shiganshina atm. It's cleared out in one of the earlier episodes. Everyone dying here are willing and able, I guess. Relatively speaking.

And there is a little detail literally no one ever is talking about: The guy, Greiz, who is insulting Nicolo and Sasha, had tears in his while saying all this.
