I think Winry's observation of his shoulders being broad was a reference to him not hunching his shoulders under the weight of that burden anymore.

2023-07-22 00:26:28 +0000 UTCFMAB is a shonen anime, so its "target" audience is from 12 to 18 more or less. Whether you are 12 or you are 18 or more you will find that you like certain parts more or less. For example in Evangelion when I was a teen I liked more action-oriented episodes, when I watched it recently I was more inclined to like the speechy episodes with philosophical undertones.
