Abdul Hakim is based based on a character named Hakim from Bruce Lee's movie Game of Death, who was played by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. That's why they made him the size of Kareem(He is 7'2"/218cm tall).

The great thing about this anime is the varied concepts it has, from sci fi, space, detectives, bounty hunters, cine noir, etc.,๐๐๐ And yes, there are many self contained episodes, but if you want a denser story with few episodes and with hidden clues in each episode I recommend EVANGELION
