I like 3D in limited occasions. Often times as a once off in theaters. Movies like Avatar, Inception, and Dr Strange were GREAT in IMAX 3D and I can still get a bit of the nostalgia of those viewings whenever I watch those movies now. I simply remember the feelings I got seeing the Naavi home planet, the crazy dreamscapes, or the Mirror Universe. That said many times the 3D wasn't worth it, such as Burton's Alice in Wonderland films.
