Not to mention there are all sorts of martial art forms that use an opponents size and strength against them, nearly appearing to allow a smaller combatant to "throw" their opponent across the room.

2023-11-28 21:14:50 +0000 UTCNot sure if it's a perfect fit here, but the Armstrong siblings seem to approach fights differently. The Major uses his alchemy mostly for distance fighting. The General is a close range fighter, and her sword is an extension of her arm. If all the Armstrongs are crazy strong (their little sister lifted a piano over her head in "fright" when Yoki broke into their home) then she could definitely have the advantage in a close quarter fight against a brother less willing to cause major harm. But if Sloth has close and distance range and no moral hesitations? Yeah, she may need her brother in such a battle, lacking distance attacks herself
