That is one of the best parts of the power creep of One Piece. The crew rarely just pulls a brand new power out of their ass. There's usually some narrative justification for it to set it up.

2024-05-22 15:13:22 +0000 UTCAccording to Oda, Nico Robin isn't actually breaking any bones when she uses her powers like this in combat. The bone-cracking sound effects were added by the anime. The official explanation is that she is "dislocating"...something. What is she dislocating? Who knows? But it hurts and it renders her opponents unconscious.

He was an archaeologist wizard who would never use fire or any other type of spell that could permanently damage historical artifacts. And his berserk button was the same as Robin's here. She's such a great character
