One Piece Ep 173 Full Reaction!

One Piece Ep 173 Full Reaction!

Comments

This is true there is true. There are a few videos that shows people getting hit by lightning multiple times in one setting. Like the guy who was struct and knocked out by lightning 3 times on video but was hit 4 times. as the video didn't catch the first strike.

Enel is all volts and no amps. Wonder where he is 'currently' in the story? Puns aside, many people have survived getting hit by lightning, with one dude doing so an actually absurd number of times. The typical lightning strike is **hundreds of millions** of volts and **tens of thousands of amps*. When you were in school and your teacher had you ground yourself on a glass block and touch the big metal sphere (Van de Graaff generator), you had anywhere from 100k to half a million volts flowing through your body. Pell was worse than this. Also, you need to understand something that's been implicitly shown over and over again. People are tough in this world, Devil fruit users are tougher, and Zoan type fruit users are tougher than anyone, along with having unnatural stamina, healing speed, and strength. If you wanna get sciency about it, the size of the OP world is anywhere from 1.5 times the size of earth all the way up to being on par with Jupiter, but made of rock, water, metals, etc. Anything on the surface would be subject to incredible amounts of gravity, assuming the mass was more or less evenly distributed. Of course, I'm reaching here, because things would not grow tall on a planet like that, unless the laws of physics were different and the typical tensile strength of materials was much much higher. There are fossilized clouds floating around with ancient civilizations on them. The main character fought with a whale the size of a literal island after visiting an old man with flower petals growing from his head and deciding to rip the main mast off the crew's only method of transport and stabbing the whale in an open wound. Yeah. People don't die when they are killed. It's anime. Why are you complaining about side characters not actually dying? Death does not equal character development. I think I said this before, but killing characters is not that hard to do, when there are SO MANY characters in this show to replace them. If some arc-specific side character died each arc, would you really care? Do you want one of the strawhats to die? Would that make the show better? I mean, sure it could serve as a really powerful motivator for the crew (and I bet it eventually will happen), but what does that really add to the story? Did the Red Wedding make game of thrones better because characters died, or because of the shocking nature of the scene and the REACTION OF THE OTHER CHARACTERS who survived? What if some Red Priest had come in and resurrected everyone, but kept them prisoner and never let them go again until the end of the story, if at all? Functionally what changes about the story? Nothing. You would just know the characters are still alive. The important thing is whether the people who care about that character think they are dead. Is the reaction of the crew to hearing that Crocodile 'killed luffy' somehow less meaningful because he's still alive after? Does it cheapen the resolve that Usopp drew from that news? I just don't understand the complaint here. It has nothing to do with the story and everything to do with what you expect to happen based on other stories. By the way, I love your reactions, sorry if it doesn't seem like it. I just get annoyed with this complaint from people, because they usually can't actually back it up.

Dude, you're Annoying

Daniel kienzl

Do you really want to write this?

Marta Britāla

Don't worry - you'll find out what mantra is in around ep 500 not 700

Marta Britāla

Dude you know almost nobody dies in this show, which is a huge bummer, but it is what it is haha.

wartgalore

That's if you even take his attack names at face value. I always assumed they were just for show. I mean, nobody assumes Luffy's actually firing a bazooka

Illjwamh

Who has the best power against electricity? Their natural born enemy?

EgregiousGrievous

Yeah 1 million volts is less then an ordinary lightning strike

Brian Glatt

Volts alone won't kill you. It's amps you gotta worry about
