I was wondering when this episode was going to come out. Thanks a bunch for the release! One of the best episodes and a real marker for when the series takes another turn in its story! On the point of the audience, it's a property of the adaptation. The manga is clearly meant for older audiences in Japan since it was published in a seinen magazine but that doesn't carry over to an anime adaptation that doesn't have that clue to audiences from the publishing medium. Kinda like you know studio A24 will always target older audiences. The cutesy start does dilute that a bit but the publishing magazine is a clear indication in Japan.
