I know yall watched this a hot minute ago so idk if the jujutsu scroll thing was explained -- this one was so confusing to me, but someone said the joke is that Megumi, who obviously a very serious sort of guy, said a very childlike word to say "sunshine". So Maki & Nobara are shook by him saying a very cutsey, baby-like word. Also, in terms of the show going fast/using a lot of new terminology/ feeling like you're missing stuff -- Thats super normal, especially with this show, and i know its frustrating to feel like you're not getting all the information when you feel like its giving it to you. But this /is/ considered an "advanced" anime; its playing off the genre of shounen assuming most of its viewers have a long history of watching and getting used to the tropes and structures of the genre. But also I think Gege (the manga author) wanted to give audiences that "wait I'm fucking drowning, hold on-" feeling on purpose. I feel like everyone I've watched this show with or seen a reaction for, no matter how fast they can read subtitles or how long they've been watching anime, has had a learning curve with this show. But things do get re-iterated and explained very well IMO, so hopefully it gets easier~
