2024-08-14 16:02:34 +0000 UTCIt's interesting relistening to this at the same time as reading Sons of the Black Sword series since they're both basing a lot of culture on Indian Subcontinent Medieval/Feudal/Mughal societies. This is a little more abstract and has other cultures - I think if I had to pick one on Roshar, I'd definitely go Azish.

2024-08-14 11:26:38 +0000 UTCIf you've read some of the things that Mormon religious magazines have written about Sanderson's public monetary contributions to gay pride and trans groups (they're not fans) - I randomly ran into an article reading stuff about what he was up waiting for a new book, I think he probably knows that some of the things he writes about religion apply to Christianity and Mormonism.
