Thank you for the kind words about Oda's storytelling and worldbuilding.
By the way:
Think back to the establishing shots of the city that you were raving about. If you really think about the huge 'water-slides' running radially down from the top of Water Seven to the base and meeting with the ocean, you'll have the answer to both of the following (paraphrased) questions:
Q: "How do they get rid of all that water from the water elevator?? That would be an unbelievable amount of pressure"
A: "They could just send it back down to the ocean, using the big-ass water slides. And if you think about it, this could work like a gigantic Heron's Fountain (self-powered fountain.
A #2: Releasing the pressure from the water elevator could be tapped to draw water up again to fill up a different water elevator. Or it could just be routed over to the other elevator directly, so perhaps only every other elevator is full of water at a time.
Q: "Why do they build ships up at the top? Seems like an awful lot of work. I mean, sure, they COULD do it but... they have to get the ships back down again."
A: "They can just send the ships down the slides when they are done construction, and skip right over the top of the town."
I can't tell you now, BUT... when you realize **why** they don't build ships at the shore, do you think you'll change your mind about 'logical thinking' in relation to One Piece?"
You're not entirely wrong, I guess. Sure, you shouldn't apply normal Earth logic to One Piece (duh-doi), but you always have to consider THE WORLD and the precedents set by the worldbuilding.
What could be some reasons that a partially submerged shipbuilding town constructed on the ocean might not want to set up their shipyard at the shore?
One Piece is a show that is consistently and intentionally hyperbolic, and grounded within that hyperbole.
It is referred to as an absurdist fantasy **epic** because of this very feature. Oda will find a way to make the most outlandish or implausible idea make perfect sense AND be really obvious in retrospect or on a second time through the series.
So no, you don't apply Earth logic when confronted with something that doesn't make sense on its face, but you also don't hurl logic to the wind and just throw your hands up expecting things to not make sense... even if they don't make sense now. You hold on to that possible inconsistency and you give Oda the time and space to explain it. In the meantime, you apply the hyperbolic logic of the world and make your inferences from there.
If you don't do this you are going to miss out on so much fun speculation and deduction, which are so crucial in an adventure series like this.

You did say you wouldn't, and it should have been left at that; I agree. And thank you; we appreciate that.
In defense of the community, this sort of thing has happened before, and people have been very confrontational and aggressive about it, to the point of continuing to post more and more spoilery stuff on purpose just because in their opinion it should be fine, regardless of what Nerdy thinks or wants. So there might have been a bit of a knee-jerk reaction on some peoples' parts. Not saying it's justified; just trying to provide some context

And now we have the toxic fan.
Hello toxic fan 1, if you had bothered to read my last message, you'd know that I already accepted the first commenters request. And said I wouldn't do this again, but since it seems you'd rather not read and just be angry. I'll leave only this comment and not respond to anything else you say, so enjoy staying mad. And be safe toxic fan 1, it's rough out there for folks who dont read.

Still. Just shut up. Nerdy doesn't want us to do it. SO DON'T FUCKING DO IT and don't argue

This seems ridiculous. When he has already been told this is "peak" one piece, and that the arc is XX episodes long. And me saying he is gonna tear up in 69 episodes, almost 26 hours of one piece episodes is spoilers?
Telling him this is peak one piece is spoilers in that case.
I wont saying anything about this again. But if this is nerdys community thats very disappointing.

Why would you even comment this. Just don't do it

Not the point. This isn't the place to be talking about future events or anything that could influence Nerdy's expectations. He's asked people not to, so we should respect that

Will he even remember this in 69 episodes of peak one piece?

See this is the sort of spoiler-adjacent thing he doesn't like people saying
