This movie was made for $15 Million. There are movies that have 10 times the budget that don’t have 1/10 of the impact that Godzilla Minus One. I can’t think of a movie with this budget that can match it.

Yay!!! 2 items - Love that the heat ray hurts Godzilla and that after the radiation he is so big that he IS a force of nature... he's not attacking people - people are bugs! he's attacking buildings and trains and boats he's not even looking at the people. Even the ones almost at eye level with him. A fabulous representation of the overwhelming power of nuclear weapons!

Now that I think about it, because you know Calgary, you probably already know what a ward is (as an administrative area within the municipality, represented by an alderman). Tokyo just has much bigger wards with many more densely populated neighborhoods. Ginza was relatively unscathed in comparison to other parts of Tokyo after the war, which is why many larger buildings existed for Godzilla to tear through there.

Just to clear geography up, Ginza is a neighborhood in the Chuo Ward (district) of Tokyo. If you're in Tokyo next year, then you can visit Ginza. Tokyo has multiple "downtowns" contained within its borders as North Americans would conceive of them, but Ginza is kind of like a high end shopping and financial area within Tokyo.
