Bridgerton Ep 3x8 Full Reaction!

Bridgerton Ep 3x8 Full Reaction!

As a book reader and a big Polin-fan I'm not satisfied with this season. The first part was pretty good but then the second part was just too much focus on Whistledown. But also in general there were too many sideplots. They should have either given more episodes to cover all of this or cut other some story lines. Especially the last episode felt too rushed because they had to squeeze in too much. I mean, the episode starts off with Lady Featherington finally finding out Pen's secret and since everything had to be resolved by the end of the episode, she went through so many emotions so quickly. I wanted more time to see how Lady Featherington handles this reveal. I'm also upset that they cut the scene where Violet reads Pen's letter and then speaks to Colin about it. I really wanted to see this conversation. So yes, there was definitely not enough Polin and too much other stuff. It really feels like the new showrunner isn't a big fan of Polin. In regards to Francesca, her story line was handled really nicely until the end. In her book she truly loves John. Having her react so weirdly after her first kiss and then have an immediate crush on his cousin, is a punch in the face for their sweet love. That's really not okay, especially since we've spent so much time on their love story this season. Here some information for you since you seemed to wonder about them or be confused: - This was not Francesca's season. Her story line this season was just a setup for her own season. - Shonda stated that the plan is that every Bridgerton sibling gets their own season - The next season will focus on Benedict and the Masquerade Ball, which Eloise mentioned, will be important. - If they follow the order of the books, season 5 will be Eloise's season, followed by Francesca in season 6, and then Hyacinth in season 7. That would give the actress of Hyacinth more than enough time to grow up into an adult. So I doubt they will recast her. They only did that with Francesca because the previous actress didn't have time due to scheduling conflicts. Unless of course, Netflix will force them to combine 2 books per season because they don't want 8 seasons or they will cancel the show after season 6 without covering Hyacinth's and Gregory's books.

I am glad to hear you talk about how great Lady Featherington is. I mean, none of us really like her as a person, that much is clear. but she is such a compelling character, and such a striking product of her time... I must admit, she was my favourite side story from S02. and again here, she did have some great scenes and some great lines. "Ladies do not have dreams, they have husbands" is a particular favourite :D she was brought up to expect a man to fix her life and she still had the strength to fight so hard and for so long. great character work there!

my personal head canon (I haven't read the books) is that Francesca is biromantic, homosexual. I do believe she loves John and might even be *in love* with him. however, she didn't seem to feel anything during their kiss. to be fair, first kisses (more like, pecks) be like that sometimes. perhaps they just need to kiss a couple more times. or, she might love him, but not be sexually attracted to him, which is also fair. also, I have always been rooting for Eloise to be aromantic (because I see myself in her, perhaps), so I am definitely team #HatTrickQueer just not your particular flavour :D

Francesca and John have a happy and loving marriage, but he's not the love interest of her book... Michaela is a gender-swapped Michael. I won't spoil you for what happens. I figured from the show that Frannie would be bisexual, and she still might be. I just found her reaction after the kiss odd if that were the case. I'm also just a little grumbly because I kinda wanted that storyline for Eloise. But who knows? There's two confirmed queer Bridgertons, why not go for a hat trick?! Lol
