You know Zenitsu's 2 year age gap with Nezuko didn't bother me as much when I first watched this season as I wasn't focused on the ages, just Zenitsu's appalling lack of consent boundaries and self delusion. However in a previous episode you reminded me that Nezuko spent two of her years in a coma. He's a 16 year old boy creeping on a girl with a 12 year old brain (although it could be argued that mentally Zenitsu is 12 I guess :P but I'm not sure that helps his case). TBH it has always creeped me out that most anime characters are mid teens and often sexualized as though they were in their twenties. For example, the character Shinobu who was introduced in this ep (butterfly clip cat ears lady) is canonically 18. -_- Honestly to keep watching some shows and enjoy them at all I have to head canon that everyone is five to ten years older than canon and match the age they're depicted visually.
