Jujutsu Kaisen Ep 2x4 Full Reaction!

The religious cult wanted Tengen’s vessel dead. That’s why they’re clapping. Gojo wanted to murder all of them because they are celebrating Amanai’s death. Geto convinced him not to.

the basic logic is, cursed energy is negativ and destructive so if you take (-1)x(-1)=1 or how he says "multiply cursed energy with itself" you get positve energy, which is supposed to be the opposite of cursed energy, so its postive and heals. And gojos technique is pretty much applications of ininity like infinite numbers, if you ever get into how its used in science, its very self explanitory. But those are all really things one does not need to know in most real life scenarios, because they are theoretical math.

I adore the symobolism in the after credit scene, Gojo and Geto are both at a tilting point in their character arc here. Gojo after just 'evolving' is high on adrenaline and is seeing red (see also the red and blue separation in the hallway between Geto and Gojo) because the cult of the star plasma vessel is applauding the fact that Riko is dead and their God won't be impurified. The afwulness of non sorcerers is on full display here and that's why Gojo asks Geto again (just as in episode 1 of season 2) if there really needs to be a point to kill. Geto acts as Gojo's moral compass and reiterates that there has to be a point. But as he's saying that, it's the first time you can see Geto doubting what he's saying (the eyes darting around), he almost says it out of habit, but this is the first time he doesn't fully believe it. It was very important that Geto was there to stop Gojo in that moment, otherwise he could have gone down a really dark path. I love how the scene ends with the shot of Geto standing around the people clapping, reiterating his words as the darkness starts to swallow him whole.

A few other answers to some questions... Tengen is a sorcerer but can't help them fight as they're responsible for the jujutsu barriers of the entire country, not even just Jujutsu high. They strenghten the veils etc as well so if they were to risk it and be killed it would cause general chaos like super lax security for jujutsu society, maybe veils not working as well as before and civilians learning of jujutsu society and cursed spirits, causing panic and then more cursed spirits since they're born of negative emotions. And we're constantly told that jujutsu sorceres are already understaffed as not everyone can become one, they're born one. That's why Tengen is so protected and doesn't appear themselves. Also why they need to assimilate and not go berserk. They have a physical body but their immortality technique rewrites it overtime and they would ascend if they didn't get a new body. Reverse curse technique is converting cursed energy that is negative into positive energy to heal but very few people can actually do it and i guess being stabbed in the brain and being on the brink of death unlocked that for Gojo lol And yes, the monologues make you stronger! XD it's explained by Nanami in season one cause it gives your oponent kind of an advantage in knowing your technique so it gives you one as well in boosting said technique. It works for all sorcerers. Also it's just kind of part of anime to get explanations for the techniques. Personally I like it better cause it gives you ideas on the different applications of the techniques. Especially in animes like JJK where each sorcerer's technique is unique. If they just fought without explaining it would get suuuuuper confusing.

Basically the cult worships Tengen since the Nara era and they worship Tengen in her purest form so they were against the assimilation. Which is why they hired Megumi's dad, Toji. They're okay even if Tengen loses control over herself and her technique and kills the world in the process. So here at the end the cult followers were clapping seeing Amanai's corpse since it meant that the assimilation was delayed until another Star plasma vessel was born or found. Geto's problem here is that he feels guilty that he's fine and alive when he told Amanai he would guarantee her future should she choose to give up on the assimilation, but then wasn't able to protect her. But he stops Gojo from killing the cult members because it wouldn't resolve the root of the problem and it's part of his principles that the strong shouldn't opress the weak. Plus Jujutsu sorcerers can't lay their hands on regular civilians. Even if they have more privileges it would still be considered a crime in Jujutsu society and have big repercussions.
