2024-12-05 20:56:00 +0000 UTCThe slow pacing of the Enies Lobby arc ( and one piece in general ) is due to the anime trying to avoid catching up with the manga and avoid doing too much filler arcs while keeping it a weekly anime

2024-12-05 18:37:39 +0000 UTCIt is definitely slowed down. Enies Lobby, despite being revered as a fantastic arc, is also notorious for its insanely long recaps. This is the worst it ever got, though, and to my recollection it never gets quite this bad ever again, so there's that to look forward to
