I LOVE Momo, finally some rep for us girlies with big personality! Also just as a note, though having lived in Japan you're probably aware of this, Momo Ayase falls into the "Gyaru" alt fashion world as are her friends. And so, although her type of dress/behavior in America is associated with the 80s "mean girl" aesthetic like you mentioned, "Gyaru" is a lot more culturally subversive in Japan and so intended reading is closer to being a sort of delinquent. I suppose a bit closer to a, like, a Greaser (although not really cause that's also a seperate alt community in japan) Basically, her visual shorthand is interesting cause in the US she do tend to associated her styling as a mean girl, and in Japan its... well, still mean lol, but necessarily popular
