Yes. Oda is extremely well read and uses a lot of myths and classic literature and real life history in his One Piece writing.

Okay, guys, here's my napkin pitch for a solution to help reactors like our boy keep from missing things while also enabling them to be more expressive and 'cook' a bit more.
What about a pair of chrome extensions (assuming nerdy is watching using crunchyroll).
One extension that lets a reactor record their pause, play, rewind, fast-forward and seek actions and saves them to a file that they provide along with the reaction release.
And one that replays those actions on another browser instance of Crunchyroll.
Reactors would just have to record like normal, and could pause to give commentary (or tell jokes to get the giggles out ✍️(◔◡◔)). They could rewind if they missed something, fast-forward past an intro with spoilers, etc.
On our end, our crunchyroll player would pause, play, rewind, fast-forward or seek in sync with the reactor, for a more authentic experience.
Okay done wasting my free time now lol.

As far as One Piece goes, I always assume pokemon rules. No matter the damage, people just faint, lol.

They've been calling Sodom and Gomorrah by name for like a dozen episodes and I've been waiting for you to notice, lmao
