Nami mentions that they werent fighting at full strength, they didnt know if they had the right to save her. It was right after Icebarg told them what Robin said to him. Also Brueno cant use iron body and shave at the same time, he has to flex his muscles. Luffy did this during the fight again Kuro as well. Hes all in on this fight.

2024-10-31 20:29:20 +0000 UTCI see a lot of people saying to rewatch one piece, but I have a different suggestion. Read the manga. It’s a different way to digest a the material and for me helps it stick better. But if manga is not your thing, then no worries, disregard lol.

Back in the day when I was watching weekly and there were less than 300 out, I used to do a lap back through what I'd already watched and marvel at all the different layers of worldbuilding and foreshadowing while I waited for a few episodes to build up. I think I stopped doing that around Marineford because of the inconsistent animation quality and re-used clips. In hindsight, it definitely burned me out on the early show at the time, but as a result, I've got them THICK STACKS of facts to drop.

2024-10-31 04:33:02 +0000 UTCA few things to keep in mind about Luffy vs Blueno is Blueno is like the 4th strongest pretty much in the middle and sanji was able to hurt him so power was Luffy is stronger than sanji and Luffy is a fighting savant if Luffy fight someone long enough and can hit them he has a good chance to beat them if he can hurt them he had a lot of time to think about his lost they all have and as dumb as Luffy is at most normal things the one thing he's good at he's got to excel at

Same moves, he was able to keep up with the movements. Another thing is powerlevels: Luffydefinitely got stronger, but Oda said he was very unsure therefore wasn't able to fight with conviction. That makes a large difference, even in real life, but Oda MIGHT stretch it a bit much. Still, I buy it.
