It's fine with some scenes, like Luffy and the stairs in Enies Lobby, but other times it's so unnecessary and actually adds nothing. Edit: Moria can manipulate shadows. I feel it appropriate he can make them into whatever he wants, and even keep them "alive" despite there being no light to throw shadow
