Yeah I've kind of always just imagined it like how most people wouldn't recognize a famous person from the 40's now, especially in an age where pictures aren't nearly as widespread as now. Someone who lives near one of the statues might pick up on it pretty quick but otherwise there's little to connect to

2025-03-22 19:32:05 +0000 UTCI understand what you are saying but, Frieren has lived most of her life in seclusion until she joined the party that defeated the demon king, and after she went back wondering the world quietly. People know the name and know what she did, but not everyone knows what she looks like. Plus, Frieren is constantly downplaying how strong she is and supressing her mana, so people don't even take notice of her strength. They just see an elven mage at an exam.
