episode 8 is so good, but it's also really interesting in how it re-contextualizes what we know of teru. he's a 14yo, living alone in an apartment, no mention of any family whatsoever, and has been fighting off espers sent by terrorists to kidnap him for a few years, by himself. yea no wonder he acted like he did when he first met mob... (btw, this is the only insight we get into teru's home life. the only other detail is an omake in the manga that says teru's parents work and live overseas, and that he hates vacations cause he just spends all that time alone. so he's most definitely neglected) oh, and two other details, the kids are all between 13-15yo, not 12, but still young. as for the title of the show, cause you seemed to wonder, 'mob' means a background character, an everyman if you will. while psycho just means 'psychic'. the title roughly translates to 'psychic everyman 100'. a bit less epic than it seems heh
