I also originally thought that Elizabeth and Sue shared a subconscious more than a consciousness. Now after rewatching this film both on my own and with other reactors, I think they are sharing a consciousness but because of her self esteem and self worth issues, her two selfs become dissociative, truly viewing the other as something "other."

2025-01-05 15:56:37 +0000 UTCC, thank you for your authentic reaction to this masterpiece of a movie ❤️❤️❤️ You too Nerdy, of course, but Clarus’s visceral empathetic reaction to the scene where Demi’s ripping at her face in the mirror before her night out was the exact same reaction I had when first watching that scene—and I’m 100% certain that, unfortunately, millions of other women/femme presenting people have gone through that exact experience in the past, and it’s just so sad (and infuriating!) that so many of us saw ourselves and our friends and loved ones in the moment.
