Nerdy's "WTF!" reaction to the daughter offer was very entertaining. Right there with you!
I don't think of the demons as evil. They're just monsters that eat people. Lions aren't evil to eat gazelles. That's just their nature.
Or as Sean Stewart put it in his excellent novel "Galveston" about the return of magic, "Ain't nothin' good about a fox to hear a chicken tell it."
I admire your self-control in being able to stop at episode 7 when 8 and 9 are available. I look forward to seeing your reactions to those, when their turn comes.

The demon girl made a mistake, but not the mistake you think she did. She wasn't trying to do right by the mother whose daughter she ate, nor trying to make amends. She tried to give them the mayor's daughter for the same reason Draht tried to kill Frieren. That mother was the only one still treating her like the predator she was. She thought getting her a new daughter would fix that.

To be fair, the 'see through clothing' thing was for a 10 seconds joke but you gave it far more weight than the show itself did. Like, Frieren doesn't imply or say that she's even remotely interested in actually using it beyond the "hey, it could have use to see conceiled weapons" and her general interested in random, weird magic. But since you latched on the "Frieren clearly wants to see people naked" you sort of spend 2 episodes commenting on it and waiting for some revelation or 'play' around it that only came from a classic anime (and bit creepy) joke of Fern making a dick joke.

Stark is like a better version of zenitsu for me. He's less whiny, and while he's cowardly, he still comes to bat, and his badass moments don't happen when he's unconcious

I like both the sub and dub. I primarily watch the dub, but I like both.
It just seems to me that people tend to like whichever they watch a show with first, sub or dub. The same can go for shows that have multiple English dubs. Older fans will sometimes prefer the older dub and newer fans will prefer the recent dub.
