Back in season 1, we saw one of the first demons Tanjiro fought after joining the corps was deathly afraid of mentioning Kibutsuji Muzan's name. There was a flash to the demon being choked by Muzan in which Muzan claimed he was always watching him. I'm not expecting you to remember that after all this time on one watch through, but there is an implication that Muzan has eyes on all his demons.

2025-02-05 01:26:29 +0000 UTCFrom my understanding, Muzan has a link to all the demons he's created and can consume them to integrate their power into him. That's what he did with the lower 6 he killed before the Mugen Train Arc. It could have conveyed that knowledge better.
