Closeup of: Okay, I'm ready for our date

Happy Thor's Day Everyone!

I wanted to show this image that pairs with the other upload today. A closeup and refinement of the other upscaled 'Okay I'm ready for our date' image. The ability to take a portion of a picture and increase the resolution and details of the image with an upscaler has been a welcome addition to my skill set. Often I have the composition I want in a portion of rendered image but was rendered too small to be useable. Now, I can take that composition, crop as I need, upscale, and refine the details to get the result I want.

This closeup is a Patreon exclusive image and will be in the monthly zip download.

I continue to practice new methods, learn new techniques, and expand my knowledge in every field involved in this process to bring you the best images possible. Thank you all for being here for the journey and supporting my work.

Thanks, Druid! Glad you like it. There are definitely limitations to it and the amount of details to fix increases. Sometimes I really need to finesse the inpainting to keep details I like. If it's pure composition I wonder if an image to image could do a redraw or maybe a controlnet (or combination of) that could redraw. Of course a lot comes down to what tools, models, lora, settings, style, etc. you're using. I find myself relying on trial and error to get things right, but I'm learning how my tools work that way.

Well that's my new favourite... :) The one issue I've run into with upscaling cropped images is that the linework just becomes thicker and thicker until eventually it has that look of an enlargement. I'm still on the lookout for some way to 'encourage' the diffusion models I play with to redraw the lines.
