Hello My Dark Acolytes,

I wanted to share a little behind the scenes look at art from Alleyway - at least what I'm letting myself share here. I'm making these images Patreon exclusives though they both appear in cropped form in Alleyway, I'm just sharing these with y'all.

At the beginning of this project this scene was a big image to tackle. There's a lot going on to get the pose right, every individual in the scene takes a bit more time to get each looking right. I started with a lower resolution image which was upscaled once to get the wide shot image of the dance floor. Once I was happy with it I decided I needed a few close ups. First one of Absynth and Jamal together and another booty closeup.

With each increase in resolution we lose a little bit of detail and lines get thicker. Overall though I'm happy with the effect. Especially since I really like the composition. I worked hard to get that booty just the right shape, so I was gonna use it lol.

I'm always learning new techniques and tricks with these tools and there's no real manual for it yet. A lot is guesswork, trial and error, and iteration. I've already noticed during the upscaling process, how much more time the older stuff takes (generally) to fix up. Which I hope means I'm getting better at it.

Work on Comic 2: Alleyway is going well and the next installment is definitely nsfw. I'm still finishing up the final pages, but I'll be releasing another 4 pages next week. After that I'll release the last bit and bundle it all up into a pdf and create the jpg download for the pages. Also, let me know if there are other formats I should consider for the comic. I'd thought to make a .cbr file (that's the most common comic book format). So, let me know if there's interest in that.
