Added 2020-09-21 07:53:07 +0000 UTCAfter we went through the first cue of my score for HERO in a series of compositon walkthroughs, it is time to have a look at the recording. As usual, you're not just getting the final mix but the entire multitrack session to download.
It is a quite extensive file as we had a lot of microphones in the room as well as did an overdub of the strings. So you will again find a series of microphones twice. The files with "Str" in the file name belong to the string overdub.
Even if you don't want to attempt a mix, these multitrack sessions are really useful to dive a bit into the details by listening through the individual instrument signals. From this session you can easily tell that we needed to rush through it quite a bit as there are a few spots here and there where another take would have helped.
You will also find a few mid-range microphones (e.g. on the woodwinds) as well as differnt close mics (as on the horns, with a set in front and another set behind the horns). They are pretty clearly labeled, so it shouldn't be a problem to find your way around in them.
