Here's another pet project cue that I wrote just for fun over the last couple of weeks and to try out a few new things.
I was optimizing my template again a bit while working on this, going back to Berlin Brass as the first choice for the brass instruments after they came out with the Sine version of it that includes a new ff layer for most instruments which I used extensively in this cue. Also, I switched out the main reverb to Cinematic Rooms as it is more transparent than Spaces II which I used before. Another addition is Tokyo Scoring Strings which I layered in to get some more dimension into the string section with this more close and direct library.
With the release of Dorico 4, I also changed a few things around in my notation template, making use of some of the new functions and optimizations. I changed the template to be more in line with the "film scoring default" with thicker bar lines/staff lines and fonts that are more "in your face" than my previous template. I also moved away from some of the notation defaults from Dorico to be more in line with common session practice.
