Three Christmas Themes - Score Sheets, Dorico Files & Midi

Last year, when the world was still normal, I spent some time towards the end of the year to work on three Christmas pieces. The purpose for that was that I wanted to try a few new things in my Mockup template and I had these themes stored away for quite some time already, so I finally wanted to give them a proper treatment.

This also fell together with some free time that I had in the last few weeks of 2019 where I also wanted to dive deeper into mastering Dorico which just a few weeks before had matured enough (to version 3.0) for me to make a switch. So after all, these pieces served several purposes and I had a lot of fun getting myself into Christmas mood.

The long term idea is to collect a few more of these tracks and eventually record them with an orchestra to release a Christmas album but that is still some time in the future. 

Looking at them a year later I would probably do a few things differently in the mockups (and use some different libraries that I got since them) but I'm still quite happy with them from a musical standpoint. I'd love to try another mockup of them as I think I might be getting a better result today but didn't have time to do that yet.

At the bottom of the post, I attached the Score Sheet, Mockups and Midi Files. Also, as some of you have asked for that, I'm attaching the Dorico files as well. As always, please don't distribute any of the files on the internet and only use them for educational purposes.

I haven't touched the Dorico files in a year so they are not on a layout level that would be possible in the latest version of the Software plus they are lacking some things that I learned since then.

For the people who are interested in what I used for the mockup:

Woodwinds, Brass, Timpani and Strings are from the Orchestral Tools Berlin Series including expansions (like the Euphonium, Muted Trumpets). The woodwinds are mainly Berlin Woodwinds Revive except for the Bassoons. Percussion are Spitfire Orchestral Percussion. The Contrabass Clarinet is from Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds. Choir is Orchestral Tools Metropolis Ark 1+2
