New storylines - poll
Added 2025-01-27 19:50:13 +0000 UTCSince we're nearing the end of Teacher's Pet, I would like to introduce TWO new storylines going forward. One will be lighter and more romance based (similar to Teacher's Pet) and the other will feature a darker, more morally grey Snape. They'll run CONCURRENTLY so everyone has something to enjoy.
As for the romance story, I would still like to pursue the Marriage Law idea that I've talked about before. The premise for that is that the Ministry creates a law to pair up suitable witches and wizards in the hopes of producing offspring and boost the magical population after two devastating wars. It will feature a love interest close in age to Severus, possibly a teacher and be a bit of frenemies to lovers. Neither of them is eager to have children either so they will have to come up with sneaky ways to fool the Ministry. It'll be fun to see them navigate this forced relationship all while dealing with lots of Ministry mandated (awkward) smut. This heroine will not hesitate to take him down a notch or two if he gets too irritating.
As for the darker story, I would like you guys to vote for whichever one you prefer. We have the Bitter Victory premise and the Apprentice story. Personally I prefer the Bitter Victory idea, simply because I can see a lot of scenes that could be included. I would start that one over after he brings her home and then pace it slower and flesh it out as we move forward. But I'll leave it up to you.

Severus is given a fellow muggleborn professor as a reward for his service. He's had feelings for her before but now that he owns her a darker side of him begins to struggle with the last shreds of humanity left in him after the war. He is very much a morally grey character in this one but he slowly comes around. The Apprentice story starts with Severus interviewing a potential candidate for an apprenticeship position. He's not a good man in this story and definitely "tests" the girl thoroughly before *plot twist* She ends up signing the contract and entering his service for 3 years. That's the rough outline 😂 I can't give too much away but go have a listen before you decide. Just heed the tags and content warnings
