Ep9 intro / iron problem recap

Just a short precourse to the next episode, where we'll prepare for the attack!

I find that sometimes the story which needs to be told, and the current game footage do not really match up well, so I record seperate sections outside of the current game to better illustrate the points made. In the video above it's specifically the last 1m40s, but I'm not sure yet if the end result warrants the time invested and the extra video playtime, during which the actual game doesn't make progress... It does however create the extra awareness about the seriousness of the iron problem we face, which may make the rest of the episode more enjoyable... I think I'll keep it included at the start of the full ep9, but let me know if you have strong feelings about if I should include these kind of useful / useless intermissions or not.

I will say that this is a great explanation of how to look at the data for a problem, though it does leave me as a viewer wondering "does he really think about problems that in depth?". It's possible that you do. My mind doesn't work that well, but with how you think about pollution, I am already convinced that you do in fact think of problems on this level. Adding this does help. I would say if you have a tech target, maybe cover how much of your remaining iron you'll have to spend by the math to hit the remaining tech you need to break out and then see if you make it.

That's a good point, to me it's clear what the main focus is because I'm fully in the middle of it, so I'll go the extra mile to let it stand out. New video tomorrow!

I like the extra explanation, it helps to really cement the dwindling iron problem as a major issue and helps it stand out above all the other obstacles and problems you face in the playthrough. So instead of being like "ah yes the iron issue" and then forgetting about it, the extra explanation i feel will help keep us on the edge of our seats and adds a level of tension about it

I think your text/VO explanation are clear enough that everyone understands the situation. Even if the gameplay footage doesn't match up 100% it's probably not necessary to create special video just to demonstrate your point.

The OverNord

I appreciate the gameplay and decisions, above all. Even without a detailed commentary or summarization, it is beautiful to watch and most of the decisions (other than maybe these high-level ones such as how much iron we need before we go out) can be deduced. You rock!
