"I brew some tea, get some snacks and enjoy it for the next 20-30 minutes. Having something for just 10-ish is too short, the tea would not even get cold enough for it to drink!"
Igor's comment first sounded like just a casual point to me, but it has kept "brewing" in the back of my mind, and it actually does make a lot of sense, as these videos are not meant as "background videos" but something you'd want so settle in and get comfortable for. So, as with the most popular consensus, I will try for longer episodes from now on, though I probably can't go as far as 25-30 minutes (yet)*, as I don't want to start skipping weeks. Perhaps later in the series as there will be less cutthroat decisions to be made, so less "difficult" explaining to be done, I can more easily extend the episode duration.
Anyway, enjoy this one!
Michael
PS (yet)*: The increase in pledges since the start of this series has been insane, I still cannot quite wrap my mind about it especially since I'm not a "broad" channel. We're definitely now out of the "just coffee tips" territory, and into the realm of setting aside money to invest in a proper gaming/recording pc setup. (I've tried going 60fps, but with my current setup it's not doable, and I'm still a little scared to try livestreaming on this setup too). Together with the ad revenue from youtube, I'm hoping to get a proper setup this autumn, and we'll see, if it seems viable I WILL reduce my dayime job hours in order to work more on videos and maybe occasionally streaming (I work a flexible job anyway, so the risk of that is a little lower than with a fixed hours contract). Ok, enough rambling for now.
