Walls Walls no Balls__Balls on Fire // Factorio DeathWorld but Biter Bases are INDESTRUCTIBLE... #5

The fun begins... From here on out, we're going to be testing and developing a lot of new ideas and strategies to (literally!) get around the biter bases :) Today we take the first steps and try thigns out on a small scale, but we'll still need to figure out how to apply similar strategies on a much larger scale...

Enjoy!

I know the feeling, I much more enjoy watching decino play doom, or theviper playing aoe2 than playing it myself and sucking at it. Sometimes it's just much more relaxing to watch an expert playthrough instead of playing yourself.

It depends on how long the playthrough is gonna be and on how much I feel like I need to "justify/proof" where I get my resources/progress from (which is why the ultimate deathworld challenge started slow and detailed until I got the first external iron). With the current side project, the resource intake and processing is THE central point of the playthrough, which means a lot of the information/decision making/credibility gets lost in a less continuous "main project" style edit. After the rocket lauch though, those details won't matter anymore, so I'll switch to a more "main project" type of edit for the rest of the achievements. (I cannot imagine anyone wanting to watch the full gameplay of "getting 20M green chips part 17: building the 12th iron and copper mine"). OTOH, the Self balancing starter base which I posted about earlier (as the first step of getting to a 10k spm base), definitely is a main project style edit. The gameplay of that one isn't super interesting (as it's a lot of hand-building a large blueprint), also there's much more explaining to do (better when voice scripted/thought out sentences), and much less decision making.

you are totally crazy and save my time to play factorio. comments at 14:30. continuing watching :)

Random curiosity, and off topic, but how do you judge what would be good for a main vs side series? I find the 100% evolution series to have been pretty tense from the beginning and it seems like it would’ve been great edited down too.
