"Picture 1: Rachel, daughter of the duke, is engaged in a bit of role-play with her peasant boyfriend, Thomas, whom she has just shoved into a quicksand pit as 'condemnation' for pursuing a 'forbidden' relationship with the duchess-to-be. After eliciting a heartfelt love confession from the sinking blonde, she sheds her cloak, revealing she is wearing a sexy sky-blue evening gown underneath.
Rachel then gestures dramatically as she confesses her undying love in return...

Picture 2: Rachel now enters the quicksand herself, grunting a little with exertion as she works her way out to where Thomas is sinking...
"I cannot bear to live my life without you," she says. "I shall protest your judgement, by sharing in your punishment..."

Picture 3: The young duchess works herself down to Thomas' level, her arms sunk in as she gazes lovingly at her boyfriend...
"If we cannot be together in life, we shall be together in death... together forever, in the depths of the quicksand!" Of course, they have both stopped sinking at this point, but it doesn't reduce the adrenaline rush Rachel feels from the sensation of seemingly being hopelessly mired in the thick, sucking bog...
