Working on a revised privacy tutorial for 2020
Added 2020-03-13 22:42:58 +0000 UTCHello, patrons! I've been working on a new revised comprehensive privacy tutorial. My past tutorials have been desktop-centric and overly focused on the browsing aspect. But most people are active on their phones and use apps instead of browsers.
So this new tutorial will be looking at digital privacy through the lens of a mobile user and will be focused on providing mobile advice first. There will be some new advice there but if you've been thoroughly watching my security and privacy tutorials from the past, much of the advice is starting to become repetitive.
So after I finish this video, I will no longer be working on comprehensive privacy tutorials like this one. I will still release specific tutorials (e.g. How to use Tor), but comprehensive guides will be done for now.
Thank you for your support.

I don't have a date but it will be this week. My work has been needlessly time-consuming lately and I am starting to hate it.

2020-03-19 00:57:58 +0000 UTCTracking MAC addresses is only a concern on hostile or open networks. Most people are on their home networks and MAC addresses are the least of their concern when it comes to their privacy. Most systems let you reset your MAC address in network settings but there is no real privacy benefit to this. Encrypting your DNS or using Tor is far more superior and important.
