Introducing two new tiers - What do you think?
Added 2021-01-21 13:01:01 +0000 UTCI was thinking of modifying my tier list a little bit. The two main tiers (0 and 1) will remain as they are. However, I was thinking adding one lower tier and higher tier.
The lower tier: -1 ~$2
You will get early access to my YouTube videos AND you can comment your thoughts/questions and I will make an additional video just for patrons responding to your comments and questions. Tier 0 and Tier 1 will get everything from Tier -1 in addition to the weekly Patreon-only commentary videos.
The highest tier: 2 ~$25
Everything from all the previous tiers, plus 1 edited video special a month for patrons only. This would be similar to my main YouTube videos but with slightly freer format.
What do you think about this? Would you be interested in higher/lower tiers? All of you who are currently subscribed to Tier 0 or Tier 1 will get Tier -1 video response to your comments on my main YouTube videos.

These would be more opinionated and less educational pieces. So less valuable to the masses, unless for the purpose of agitation. I would release these patreon specials to everyone every once in a while.

2021-01-22 18:41:40 +0000 UTCI am not super convinced about the idea of selling my attention to private individuals. If you meant 1-on-1 chats. When you say group chat, are you saying something like a group of higher tier patrons and me where we get to chat? Would that be of value even without calls?

2021-01-22 18:35:22 +0000 UTCI think it would be cool but agree with Sakil, maybe the higher tier has a once a month or two live hangout on Jitsi, or some other platform to maintain opsec but also maybe tier 1 members could have a private chat. Not sure which platform I.e. discord, briar, signal etc. it’s not hard to have a private number to use anonymously for a private signal chat? Just thoughts.

2021-01-22 15:10:24 +0000 UTCI don't want to be greedy or mean, but I don't think you should create a whole other video on such an expensive tier because it seems counterproductive for me. You'll spend a lot of effort with it but still won't reach and educate too many people. Maybe If you release those videos 1-2-3 months later on the main channel that can be better for everyone, though I'm not sure, just a suggestion
