Yes but shouldn't we be equally critical of FOSS apps too? We should always recommend the best service available tailored to individual needs of the user. If you introduce a financial incentive into this, then recommendations aren't purely based on merit. FOSS apps aren't uniformly and equally good solutions.

My question to you THO (or anyone who reads this), would it be considered conflict of interest to just link FOSS apps that one would recommend in their youtube description? These sleek Youtube videos, I like the quality, but I think the podcast is going to be actually more educational if its produced more often and if you have a good backlog of things which will make me think.
